Frequently Asked Questions

* Cancellations made 60 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund of any payments made.

* Cancellations made 30 days before arrival: Full deposit lost. Any paid rent will be refunded.

*  Cancellations made less than 30 days are non‑refundable.

* Early Departures / No Shows: No refunds will be issued for early departures or no‑shows.



To ensure a clean, safe, and allergy‑friendly environment for all guests:

  • Pets are not permitted anywhere on Destin West Bayside property, including condos, pools, lazy river, fitness center, and outdoor spaces. This is mandated by our HOA and fines can be assessed. 
  • Service Animals: We can accomodate trained service animals as defined by the ADA (must be approved by HOA before booking). Emotional support animals (ESA) are not classified as service animals under ADA guidelines and therefore are not permitted. In the event that the HOA approves the service pet, There are not any extra charges for a service animal, nor do we increase the security deposit. However, guests remain liable for any and all damage caused by people or the service animal. Violations: Guests who bring pets onto the property (not serrvice animal) will be subject to additional cleaning fees and may be asked to vacate without refund. In Florida, it is against the law to falsely claim a pet as a service animal. Misrepresentation is treated as a second degree misdemeanor with penalties including fines and possible jail time. § 413.08(9), Fla. Stat. (2023).


* If a storm is forecast but no mandatory evacuation is issued, No refunds will be given.

* If local or state authorities issue a mandatory evacuation order for Okaloosa Island or Fort Walton Beach, guests will be required to leave the property and you will be refunded:

  • Guests will receive a refund for any unused nights.
  • Any unused portion of rent from delaying arrival until the mandatory evacuation is lifted.
  • Guests with reservations scheduled to begin during an official Hurricane Warning/mandatory evacuation will receive a full refund.


* Check-in time is at 4:00pm Central Time and checkout is at 10:00am Central Time.

* Early check-ins: While we do our best to welcome guests as early as possible, early check‑ins cannot be guaranteed ahead of time. Factors such as departing guests, and routine maintenance may affect when a property is ready. I regularly communicate with guests via text/email throughout the day to notify them when a property is ready for check-in before 4:00pm, at no additional cost.

* Late checkout: late checkout is not available. Our housekeeper and maintenance schedules are planned days in advance to ensure that our properties are prepared for the next guests in a timely manner. Guests who do not vacate the property by the scheduled check‑out time (10:00am Firm) may be subject to additional fees.

* Entering the condo: You don't need to stop in the front desk to get a code. Check-in is done via keypad at your rental property, and we will provide you with your unique access code approximately 5 days prior to your arrival. This means you can go straight to your unit without any additional stops, making your check-in process smooth and convenient.


To ensure your convenience upon arrival, we provide starter supplies for your stay. These include:

  • 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towel, 2 dishwaswer pods, 2 kitchen trash bags, 2 laundry pods, a sponge for the kitchen sink.

These starter supplies are meant to cover your immediate needs, sparing you from rushing to the store upon arrival. However, we recommend packing additional items from home and bringing kitchen consumables, as this are not provided during your stay.


Yes, you will need to bring your own pool and beach towels for your stay. We provide bath towels inside the condo for your use during your stay, these towels should not be removed from the condo.
